TVB : Emergency Unit (E.U.)

I'm currently chasing this latest HK TVB series : Emergency Unit E.U (學警狙擊) which was broadcast in Malaysia thru the Astro On Demand package.

It is direct sequel to 2005's The Academy (學警雄心) and 2007's On the First Beat (學警出更) main cast by Ron Ng and Sammul Chan from the original series.

Sammul Chan as LEE PAK-KIU was a Unit head in Emergency Unit E.U. and later promoted to Crime and Triad Bureau (OCTB) Trainee to investigate the Triad Boss, KONG SAI-HAO by Michael Miu.. Ron Ng as CHUNG LAP MAN, will be the undercover agent to get Kong, then later found out that one of the traid, Laughing Kor (Michael Tse) was an undercover agent too.

I love this series as the story line was something different from previous TVB series. hahhaaa i don't know how to explain... just feel like that. This wan was quite interesting and appear to be something expected when you come along in the episodes. There were 2 new pretty gals in the series by Elanne Kong (江若琳) as Chung's gf, Kaki Leung (梁嘉琪) as Pak-Kiu's wife Elanne is very pretty with her pair of huge eyes...

I was surprised that Michael Tse eventually ''shine'' so bright in his character as Laughing Kor. He act it quite well. It made a big responses from public when Laughing Kor died in episode 22. There was a facebook apps created for his memorial. It was mentioned that TVB will make him appear alive in the last episode OR already preparing for Season 4 for Laughing Kor's return.
Something I feel funny is that, how come the Police and Triad can be so ''Friend'' and ''close'' to each other. and their indentity as undercover was too easily being known... hahaa

Yesterday, episode 28 shows Ching Yeuk-Sam (Sam Jie) by Kathy Chow was shot dead by Kong Sai-Hao =.='' I felt that Sam Jie is the most innocent character to die in this series. so kelian.

Can't wait for the last 2 episodes Tonight on AOD at 8.30pm and 9.15pm subsequently. What will happen to Kong? Will Chung and Yau-yau back together?

Movie: Dragonball Evolution

Dragonball Evolution is based on the Dragonball manga created by Akira Toriyama which had been so popular for the kids and even adults since 1980s.

hardly find the poster of all the characters in the movie.... mostly was missing the HK actor, Chow Yut-fat.

i actually read thru some episodes of Dragonball manga when i was small but not all may be because i'm not fans of manga hahahha

so i felt the movie quite interesting and nice too..

the main warrior Goku by Justin Chatwin. he is quite funny on his act but his hair was a big difference from Goku in the manga la... not long enough but instead more like the ''buddha'' coz too short.. kekekeee

Jamie Chung as Chi Chi (at 1st i thought it was Gi Gi... haha)

she is pretty...and very sexy ooh... when the scene that Mai pretends to be her.. i thought how come pretty gal was actually bad wan... hahhaaa

Joon Park as Yamcha (his name is funny.. at start i thought i heard wrongly...origin from the comic?? i'm not sure)

Chow Yun Fat as Master Roshi - the ''hamsap'' master roshi..

i think he is the most funny character in the movie especially when he plays the ''Kame Hame Ha''. it is so amusing.. hahhaaa he was like dancing or playing tachi.

Emmy Rossum as Bulma - another sexy gal.

the Lord Piccolo (James Marsters) and Mai (Eriko Tamura)

the movie overall is interesting and quite a few surprise scene for me... perhaps may be i dint bring any much expectation into the cinema hahhhaa.

as i mention earlier I did mistaken on some wordings.. i don't know whether is my hearing problem or their pronunciation... 1st time i got this problem in the cinema... i kept like heard them speaking cantonese words in their english sentence... lolz or may be because Stephen Chow is the producer (what to do with him?) hahhaa

the fighting at the end was bit too fast, they were mentioning that Piccolo is so scary when he returns and gonna destroy the whole world. but how come Goku defeat him so easily.

Many people are walking out the cinema when the ending music and wordings is out... i was curious how come the cinema lights was not on yet... then actually the movie was not finished, the ending shows that Piccolo was alive rescued by the Japanese gal.

Dragonball PART 2 coming up next..!!

Movie: Marley and Me

Went to watch Marley & Me on the premiere day at midnight 11.30pm last wednesday.

"Marley and Me" was actually from a novel written by Author John Grogan. 

the book portrays Grogan and his family's life during the thirteen years that they lived with their dog Marley, and the relationships and lessons from this period.

The movie starts with a just married couple, John Grogan (Owen Wilson) and his wife Jennifer Grogan (Jennifer Aniston). John wanted to have a baby of their own but Jennifer was not ready yet. Then he was advise by his friend to get a pet first.

so he gave Jennifer a surprise bringing her to choose a puppy. A yellow Labrador Retriever was chosen from a clearance sale. They then named it Marley.

they soon find out that Marley's is in being the world's worst dog, and his behaviour just reinforces that – peeing indiscriminately, chewing anything, drinking from the toilet bowl, running everywhere and knocking into things. Even they can't drag still Marley. He is just hyper active to bang everywhere and bring lots of headache for the couple.

Marley is so cute and he cant stop eating... even until he was too full and heavy to stand.

and their first time at the dog beach. Marley just fleed away chasing the birds !!! he was totally out of control..

Marley starts to behave when the family had children. 

they have breakfast together.

Marley accompanied them all the ups and down. Sadly Marley left the family in the end when he was sick of stomach twisted due to his old age.  

remember to bring some tissue into the cinema... coz its very touching, can hear most ppl is sobbing. 

told by a friend, the movie story was shortened compared to the novel that described more of Marley.

but the movie was still great... if you are a pet lover, this movie is a must to watch... =]

Movie: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

''I was born under unusual circumstances.''

And so begins “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards. A man, like any of us, unable to stop time. We follow his story set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man’s life can be. Directed by David Fincher, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” is a time traveler’s tale of the people and places he bumps into along the way, the loves he loses and finds, the joys of life and the sadness of death, and what lasts beyond time.

the story goes by Benjamin Button (Brad Pitt)'s daughter reading out his dairy to her mum, Julia (Cate Blanchett) about his whole life.

Benjamin losses his mother in childhood and his father, a button manufacturer (Jason Flemying), is so horrified by the child 's ravaged appearance that he then abandon him. He was then raised up the loving black employee, Queenie (Taraji P. Henson). Benjamin, who the doctor claims that he was one foot in the grave already, spends his days on the porch of the old folk's home. But instead of dying, he grows taller, stronger and even younger while others were aging. 

Benjamin met Julia, when she was just a child. 

But as he grew younger and Julia grew older, they fall in love and get married when they are almost the same age.

They had a baby gal, and Benjamin later left them because he knew that he will be getting younger and he had no more ability to take care of them both.  

it was sad Julia found Benjamin when he was just about 10 yrs old and he had forgotten everything about the past. In the end he died as a baby in Julia's arm.

The movie was about 3 hours long. actually i felt bit boring in the middle... the story of Benjamin bit too lengthy when he was at old age. but quite short when he was young and handsome... hahahaa
