Social Marketing: A Touch Of Celebrity
Published: 7 hours 11 min agoI don't think local celebrity Denise Ho aka HOCC will be happy to see her name on the top searched keywords chart this week on Yahoo Hong Kong.
But I do think that's the way of the entertainment business, people care more about who you are hanging out with or what your sexual orientation is rather than the work you have done.
In fact, HOCC has done tremendous amount of work more than most local singers.
Not only is she running her own music label, an e-commerce website where you purchase her merchandises and music products, a series of charity works (she recruits her fans as volunteers), but also becoming a one-woman marketing machine of her own brand via various social media platforms....
.... Early this month, I wrote an article for Hong Kong Economic Journalabout HOCC. At the end of my article, I urged marketers to learn the 5C (Content, Conversation, Community, Collaboration, and Connection)* from HOCC about her social media marketing tactics (I don't think she is consciously following them).....

An article on Denise HoCC : Social Marketing
Came across an article this evening from Twitter. Is a nicely written article and worth reading for most of the ppl whom is so into the recent news of HOCC 何韻詩 recently.
HOCC was being posted in almost every chinese and even some english newspaper in Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Singapore headline of the Entertainment News lately of her recent speech. Afterall she is actually in a GAME show. Its just for fun. As for ppl who know her well... she actually likes to joke around.
By the way, most ppl tend to dig into gossips and rumors more than what artist really did for the community. Here is a very good article that tend to stand at the ''justice'' 正義 side. hahhaa
the article also talks about the 5C for marketers. Good for marketing skills huh.. =]
